Highlights of your journey

The journey

Experience Egypt personally.

This 13-day journey blends Egypt’s greatest cultural treasures with an unhurried voyage along the Nile and restful days beside the Red Sea. Discover the Pyramids of Giza, historic Cairo, Luxor’s monumental temples and the distinctive atmosphere of southern Egypt. After your first days in Cairo, fly to Luxor and board a traditional Dahabiya. As you travel along the Nile, explore the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the temples of Edfu and Kom Ombo. In Aswan, the High Dam, Philae Temple and a personal encounter with Nubian culture await. Your journey then continues via Luxor to Hurghada, where there is time to relax beside the Red Sea. The balance of history, landscapes, personal guidance and deliberately unhurried moments makes this an ideal way to experience Egypt in depth without feeling rushed.

Travel onwards to Saqqara to see the Step Pyramid of Djoser, widely regarded as Egypt’s oldest monumental stone pyramid. At the Imhotep Museum, gain further insight into the tombs of the Old Kingdom and the work of the renowned architect Imhotep.

Enjoy lunch at a traditional Egyptian restaurant before returning to your hotel in Cairo.
