Day 1Luxor’s Great Highlights+
Early in the morning, you are collected from your Red Sea hotel in a private, air-conditioned vehicle. Enjoy breakfast in the desert on the journey to Luxor.
Visit Karnak Temple, the Valley of the Kings, the ancient workers’ village of Deir el-Medina and the magnificent Temple of Queen Hatshepsut.
After a home-cooked lunch with Ahmed’s family, check in to your hotel. In the evening, sail on the Nile aboard a traditional felucca at sunset. A village walk and shared dinner offer another glimpse of everyday Egyptian life before your overnight stay.
Day 2Medinet Habu and Deir el-Medina+
After breakfast, explore the impressive mortuary temple of Ramesses III at Medinet Habu and discover more of the workers’ village of Deir el-Medina.
Ahmed’s family welcomes you back for lunch before your private return journey to the Red Sea.
